Finish with your hands high!  When you watch a good golfer you will notice that vast majority of them finish with their hands high.  This denotes that the path of the club through the hitting area is correct.  If you are not finishing high here are a few tips that will help you improve this.  At the start of the downswing drop your right elbow into your side ( left handers left elbow) and try to imitate this with your hips clearing the way for your arms.  Another thing to keep in mind is that you swing from a straight left arm on your back swing to a straight right arm on your follow through.  This takes practice and effort on your part.  You will be happy with the results.

Premature releasing, or unlocking, of the wrist in the downswing dissipates club head speed and therefore reduces distance.  Maximum speed and distance can be achieved only by a delay of the wrist uncocking until just before impact.  Wrist cock attained during the back swing or at the beginning of the downswing can be retained until late in the downswing of the golfer by keeping his right hand grip pressure very light.  By literally forgetting about that hand during the swing, both in the back swing and the down swing, the golfer will find the swing’s centrifugal force will cause the wrist to uncock automatically at the proper moment.
